The HTC One A9 Pink Edition Is Now Out

HTC has caught up with other major brands like Samsung, Nokia and LG in the production of smart phones. Over 2015, HTC released a number of uniquely-designed and feature-packed smart phones which were well received. This included a number of HTC Desire versions as well as versions of the HTC One. Among those releases was the HTC One A9.

The HTC One A9 is finally available in pink. The One A9 phone was announced in September and released in November 2015. It has only been available in Topaz Gold, Carbon grey, opal silver and deep garnet variants. The pink edition was announced by the Taiwanese company and will be on sale in Taiwan only starting January, 2016.  There is no news about when the pink edition is expected to be available in other parts of the world. So far, the pink edition is retailing at $450 for the 16 GB variant while the 32 GB variant costs $480.

Display and specifications

The HTC One A9 pink edition comes in 7.3 mm thickness and a 5 inch screen display. The screen is clear and comes in 1080 by 1920 pixels which is high quality. The pink edition also has up to 16 M colors and corning gorilla glass 4 for protection.

There are options for the 16 GB and 32 GB models of the pink edition. The difference between the two is only in the internal storage capacity and price. HTC opted for the Android 6.0 as the operating system although it still runs HTC’s Sense user interface. The battery life is 2150 mAh Li-ion which promises a battery life of 60 hours, 16 hours and 432 hours for music play, talk time and stand-by respectively.

Conclusion

Basically, the HTC One A9 pink edition is the same as the other A9 color variants that have been available in the market. Looking back, the HTC One M9 which had the pink edition released in October was chiefly in support of breast cancer awareness. HTC had two options for the pink edition, that is, one with the ribbon and one without. The release of the HTC One A9 comes on the heels of the M9 release but is not construed to be in support of breast cancer awareness. The pink edition is well received and will definitely be a favorite for pink-lovers or people who love color in general.
